LASEMA, LSFRS put out NNPC Station fire outbreak in Fadeyi

The Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and others have jointly curtain the fire outbreak in NNPC Filling Station, Fadeyi, Lagos.


The fire was said to have started by 7:24.p.m.
The emergency management agency said upon arrival of the Cobra Team to the scene of the incident, it was revealed that a tanker laden with registration number ABC 594 XC loaded with 45,000 litres of PMS was engulfed by fire.


LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Dr. Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu said further information revealed the fire started when the product was being discharged.
“However, swift response of responders was fast enough to contain the fire without spreading to adjourning building and also safeguarding the Filling station from being razed by the inferno.
The fire has been totally put out while dampening down is in progress.

 

 

 

 

Responders at the scene are Cobra Team, LRU fire, Lagos State fire and rescue service, LASTMA, Lasambus, Fed fire and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) are all responders at the scene.
